Bar/Bat Mitzvah Logos

by Amy on October 15, 2012

The Bar/Bat Mitzvah season is in full bloom! Moms, Dads and kids are in major planning mode! How do I know this? I am a freelance graphic designer and have noticed an increase of inquiries on my business website. I’m gonna sound like a broken record, but for the most part, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs start with a logo. I just began working with a Mitzvah planning family last week and they are hoping that the logo I come up with will be the theme of their entire event. (Wow…such pressure on me!)

If you don’t necessarily have a “traditional” theme or idea for a logo, don’t fret. There is no right or wrong way…
Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

  • Choose a color that your child likes. Pick a few shades, add a simple pattern and let that carry out thru your event.
  • Write down all of the things that your child is passionate about. For example, food, tv, dancing, cheerleading, sports.
  • What is the Mitzvah project that your child has chosen? Maybe that will spark some ideas.
  • On average most kids are invited to at least 70 Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in a year. So in that time you certainly have seen many ideas that you can go off of.

    Font Crazed

    by Amy October 13, 2012

Have to admit an obsession I have that doesn’t involve paper….it’s fonts! It’s kind of like the treadmill you purchased for your home, you bought it, committed to working out and using it every day, then after a week it is a place where laundry is hung! I am that way with fonts. I must […]

When deciding on an invitation look there are so many choices. When I consult with clients, I like to get a feel of what they envision and then I come up with different ideas, just in case. People are visual beings! As you see below, I gave my clients a few alternatives, but due to […]

After I did this project, I wish I would have done it with the clear/frosted transfer material. I will next time! Have a great weekend!сковородауличнаякупить ламинат ценысайты […]

Depending on your venue and your table decor, that will dictate what type of papers you should use. For the square “table 9” marker, it was for a wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago. For those of you who have not been to this venue, the ballroom is rich with antique gold accents and […]

During the midwest blizzard last week, thought I would clean out a drawer or two (that was for my mother actually!). I happen to come across a very old watercolor kit and decided to try to see if I improved from the last time I tried. I watercolored an old fashioned lollypop in vibrant colors. […]

To celebrate black Monday….OK…Valentine’s Day…I thought I would share an event that is all about L-O-V-E! (I know…gag me with a spoon) For this Bat Mitzvah the theme took care of itself…it’s all in the name! The Mitzvah planning family wanted to use the LOVE stamp logo. The picture to the right shows (clockwise, starting […]

These pretzels are making me thirsty! After a long night of dancing and drinking, who doesn’t get a little quenched for water? These labels were designed to match the decor or you can also go to My Own Labels and purchase one of their templates. Great tip! Chances are that you will purchase the water […]
